Solution 1: Recreate the program files (.tlg & .nd)
You might face issues while opening your company file if the QuickBooks program files like the transaction log file or the network descriptor file get damaged in the hard drive. As a result, you’ll receive these error codes whenever you try to access your file. You can solve this issue by recreating the program files. Here’s how:
- Open the QuickBooks folder located in the C: drive of your computer.
- Find files with an identical name to your company file and extensions .tlg & .nd.
- Right-click on the file and select Renamein the options.
- Type ‘.old’ at the end of both the file names and save them.
- Run QuickBooks Database Server Manager using the search panel or Network issues option in QB tool hub.
- Under the Scan folders, click on Browse and select the folder in which you changed the file names.
- Click on Start scan and wait until the Database Server Manager registers the file and retry accessing the company file in QuickBooks.
