The trek starts from Barsu, a small village located about 25 km from Uttarkashi. The first day of the trek is mostly spent in exploring the meadows and camping at the base. The next day, the trek starts to ascend and passes through the dense forest of pine and oak before reaching the Bugyal. The trek then passes through the meadows which are covered in snow in winters. From the meadows, one can get breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks, including the famous Bandarpunch and Swargarohini.

 

The trek then leads to the final destination, the Dayara Bugyal, a high-altitude meadow which is the largest in the Garhwal region. Here, one can witness the beauty of the Himalayas and enjoy the tranquility of the place.

 

Dayara Bugyal can be trekked throughout the year. However, the best time to trek is between May and September when the meadows are covered in lush green grass.

 

The trek is moderately difficult and requires basic fitness. It is not recommended for beginners. However, with proper planning and support from a guide, it can be easily done.
